Basic.

Range: $88.00 - $99.00 Per Image.

Includes: 3 different paver or decorative concrete manufacturer/style/color surfaces for a single photo-realistic scene.

Changes: One round of change revisions included as long as it isn’t a complete redo.

Additional Change Options: $22.00 Per Image. Unless a completely different scene is requested for an alternate “look,” which would be considered and new project image.

2D IMAGING DESIGNS:  Are mostly simple, flat surface hardscape changes, items that are edited off photos (that will work at the angle of the target image) and added “make a pretty picture” landscapes. 

Examples:  Driveways, walkways, uncomplicated patios, straight-line walls, stone veneer accents on house walls, and just lovely landscapes. 

They are photo-realistic views, comprised of edited photo elements (trees, shrubs, flowers, boulders, waterfalls, ponds, pools, etc.), layered up on actual photos of a customer’s yard.

Often source photos are taken from a Google Image Search, Pinterest, or Instagram, while looking for higher-resolution “idea” photos of a desired “something” that can be edited out of the original photos and placed in the project image.

Hardscape Contractors sell lots of driveway installations using 2D Imaging Designs that show customers three different paver options.

2D-3D HYBRID IMAGING DESIGNS:  Also a photo-realistic view, however, combining 2D (edited photo elements) and 3D created objects.  3D items are designed & created, then angled to fit the target photo, a screenshot is taken, and the flattened 3D object is then added to the more complex scene. 

Sometimes the original before photos have to be “patched over” to give the illusion that existing objects are “removed,” before starting the project.  That takes time. 

Another need can be matching two or three photos – taken sequentially -- and “compositing” those photos together (with appropriate edits and patches) to create a relatively “seamless” before photo to work with.   

Sometimes the house needs to appear as if it’s been “re-painted.”  That requires lots of surfaces to be defined prior to “washing” walls with a semi-transparent color.

CUSTOMIZED LARGER SCALE - 2D IMAGING OR 2D-3D HYBRID IMAGING DESIGNS:  Filled with all sorts of one-of-a-kind objects, taken from edited “found” photos, and added 3D design creations, these tend to be multiple image projects with somewhat consistent landscaping throughout.  In some cases, landscape contractors will specify plant materials to be included from a provided plant list. 

The customized projects are still photo-realistic images, layered on actual photos of the customer’s yard, yet they are often a collection of separate focal points for a complex front, back or whole house yard project.

Many times, HOUZZ.com is the source for collected ideas in a customer’s Ideabook.  Sometimes we even create a potential “private” Ideabook for the busy customer, based on their stated designs styles and specific wish list items.

COMPLEX - PARTIAL YARD - 3D MODELS & FLY-THROUGH ANIMATIONS:

Typically complex 3D projects are created for a backyard or a front yard remodel. The contractor wants to show what they can build, and a homeowner wants to “see” what it would look like from all sides, even from above.

With a homeowner specified “must have list” and a companion “would love to include later wish list” (often started with a shared HOUZZ Ideabook) the 3D yard model is laid out — including a representation of the actual back or front of the home — in a flowing way to illustrate placement of items into an integrated whole.

“Physical” objects are created and placed, such as hardscaped driveways, patios and walkways; walls & steps; decks; BBQ and/or outdoor kitchens; pergolas; fire features & water features; pools & spas; then finally the landscaping of each boulder, shrub, flower and tree is individually placed for maximum effect.

A Scene Is Set.

Animation Fly-Throughs Are Captured.

(By the way, this similar objective can also be accomplished with multiple 2D-3D Hybrid images of a yard. And an Ariel viewpoint can be taken with a drone.)

CUSTOM - WHOLE YARD - 3D MODELS & FLY-THROUGH ANIMATIONS:

These are the big customized 3D projects involving creation of the whole (similar-looking) house, front, back and side yards, elevations, slopes and all.

They very widely from a reasonably modest home and yard, to a very elaborate upscale neighborhood estate with all the “bells and whistles.”

Although really fun to design, they are amazingly time-consuming.

Every object needs to be created and situated, then every shrub, flower and tree, individually placed… which can run into the hundreds of required plant materials when dealing with a large sloped property.

Patience Is A Virtue.

BASIC SITE PLANS - SPECIFIC FOCUS AREA - SMALL YARD - HARDSCAPE/GENERIC LANDSCAPE/PLANTING PLANS.

A focal point or small area plan is sometimes needed, mostly by homeowners, to determine spacing and sizes of desired objects and intended hardscapes to be included in a compact space.

It’s like looking at an indoor floor plan, but instead of furniture placement, you’re seeing the layout for outdoor design elements.

Questions to Consider: Where will a fire pit best fit in, perhaps away from a large tree? How big can a dining pergola be in a tiny cramped yard and still allow for a planter bed and a water feature? What about a pet area? Will a sunny spot lounge chair fit in? Should a pool have the spa included, or be it’s own separate raised feature? Where do my guests sit?

The whole smaller site plan design depends on what “must have” items need to be included, and what one “wishes” could be added with a bit of re-jiggering. (Technical term.)

Often the Site/Placement Plan will accompany other prior 2D-3D Hybrid imaging projects, for a more expansive view.

COMPLEX PLANS - MEDIUM TO LARGE YARD - FRONT AND/OR BACK YARD - HARDSCAPE, GENERIC LANDSCAPE, AND SPECIFIC PLANTING PLANS.

The medium to larger site plan projects should always involve a landscape/hardscape contractor.

In fact, you really don’t want to do it without a licensed and bonded contractor. Any large-scale installation design/build project needs to be worked on by professionals.

We’ve known a few homeowners with big regrets and wasted money when they went the route of signing up with unlicensed builders, or lowest-cost “handy” people, pretending to be experienced contractors.

Not only does the whole property need to be measured, but so does all sides of a house, garage, structures, driveways, walls, existing pools, big trees… the list goes on and on. With exact measurements and lot dimensions from the city or county tract maps, a contractor can plan the sizes and construction materials required in order to correctly estimate installation costs.

Chances are these preliminary design site plans may be expanded into working document plans with construction details required for planning permits.
